I'm embarrassed I have to admit this. In the process of helping a chick out of the shell - with success - one of the others fell out of the incubator unnoticed. I discovered it this morning lying behind the incubator alive but weak. The counter is smooth so it's was unable to stand, and has been lying there spraddle leg all night. I immediately put it a box with a tshirt on the bottom, and put the heat lamp on it. I gave it some water. Seems okay for now.

Am I doing the right thing? I want to give this one a chance since it's my stupid fault. Hints? Thoughts?

UPDATE: The chick died a little while later

Sounds like you're doing about as much as you can. Keep it warm and on a surface it can get traction on then wait. What is to be will be.
