Hey all!

I have 9 baby chicks who are all around 2 weeks old and one of them(a splash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte) is just a greedy monster! She(hopefully a she) is literally like a little landshark. I don't really offer treats as I want them to primarily eat their feed but the one time I did I thought I was going to lose a finger. I had my palm flat and she just RUSHED in, grabbed as much as she could and RAN away with some of the other chicks following her. Then did the same thing again and again, I had to take the food away because I was worried her crop was so big!
They do have some grit in there if they need it but is this normal? This chick seems slightly younger looking that the rest and is physically smaller too- just some wing feathers vs the others who have full wings and feathers coming in the back and tail. She is getting enough food normally from what I can tell. Worried that she's going to end up being a rooster with her slow feather development but so far no noticeable comb or wattles.
Should I just make sure she is able to get enough food normally or do I just have a greedy treat hog on my hands?

Sounds like a greedy treat hog that wants to make sure she gets her share. That’s why she grabs it and runs away, LOL!
