Chick panting in incubator

Grabbed it out, took less than 3 full seconds humidity but humidity still dropped some, so I dropped water down plug hole
 
Yes, absolutely right. Just relax take a breath. As long as there is water in your incubator and chicks are hatching your humidity will be fine, it will probably even shoot up, again it will be fine .

Whew I had a horror story first hatch where I had a waterer in the incubator butttt the chick was trying to sleep in it and I lost all others trying to keep him out water. Was straight terrible but the incubator was constantly having to be opened

Remove them as needed...Won't hurt the hatch at all..
