Hi Everyone,

I have chicks in the incubator that are over 12 hours old and they are panting. I would get them out but I have 2 eggs that are pipped. Humidity is between 63-68 depending if someone hatches or not. Temperature is 99 degrees. I have never hatched this many chicks out before...lol. Thank goodness for a good hatch. Should I get them out?

I have known that you must get them out when they are dry and able to walk, and put them in a seperate box with a lamp to keep them warm.

Thank you for the reply,

But the two that have pipped might get shrink wrapped if the humidity drops too much. All the vent plugs are out. I am afraid to open it and at the same time I don't want my hatched ones to suffer.

I heard that you could throw a warm rag in there. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks for your suggestions,

Tina

Oh by the way they are dry and able to kinda walk
