We have one Ameraucana pecking at everyone else, is there anything I can do to prevent that ?. they are about 8 days old. Oddly enough she won't peck at the tiny babies that are about 4 days old.

Yes, you can discipline the picker by poking it gently on the back with your finger each time you see it going after another chick. It only takes a couple days of this and the chick should stop.

Everyone who's used this technique during the first few weeks reports success.

I have an article on what to do about an aggressive chick linked below in my signature line. It has other useful tips on how to prevent this sort of thing.

Good article...I would add toe pecking and pulling, I've seen that a lot in the first few days.

Thank you so much!, very interesting, we have been implementing the gentle poking, each time we catch her pecking the others.

Thanks again!.
