ok so late last night the first chick pipped. its been about 18 hours and nothing has changed. should i be worried


there is a lil bit more now but a bunch of blood

You could indanger the rest by opening the door to help this 1. I believe in only the stromg survive so I only help if a hatch is done and if one has pipped and zipped when I remove all the chicks, then I will help it.

It's too soon to worry. It's not uncommon for a chick to take 24 hours from pip to hatch, sometimes even longer. If you're anything like me, you'll have to sit on your hands while you wait!!
