If anyone is interested, we named her Annie. Aside from her difficult hatch and discovering she had prolapse imbilical she is doing great. Her dad was the EE Rooster that was killed. Her mom was the EE × Jersey Giant who has never had any eggs hatch. Mom was killed last week. We had been letting the ladies out to free range and find better shade because of the extreme 105 to 115 temps. I got Covid the weekend Annie hatched. We didn't get them closed up at dusk like normal one day and found the flock had been attacked by a cat. Lost 3 11 week old chicks, Annie's mom, 1 severely injured hen and 1 injured 11 week old. I have been caring for the 2 injured in crates in my garage (while covid is kicking my butt). Little Annie in the house by my recliner. Her imbilical is totally healed (thank goodness). Here is her today at 2 weeks. BTW I am recovering from Covid. Still have a ways to go but getting better everyday.
