Chick popped at wrong end

Your welcome but I’m worried about putting my new chicks with my week old chicks because last year when I had chicks even a few days apart the older ones were pecking at the new ones eyes. Why do they do that. Ugh what do I do

Chicks are curious creatures and usually do that for the first few days. They don't have hands to touch so everything is done by their beak.

Should I put them together if they’re pecking at eyes. I don’t want them to make them go blind or something or should I put a barrier up

Yay it hatched at 2:30am thanks
Congrats!

I think maybe I might try a barrier until the young one is stronger. Is it all of them that peck at it, or just a couple? Is the youngest one all fluffed up and active?

Put up some type of barrier that they can see each other, but not peck then they'll realize what they are. Let them stay seperated by the barrier for a couple of days. It's almost like integrating with an older flock, but a lot less complicating because they're chicks.
