Ideal deserves to be included and has many good reviews. My hens came from them and all arrived alive and thrived and were easy to raise. Ideal is having some really good specials. This coming week surprise, black sex link and barred rock pullets are only $1.75 each, Ameraucana pullets $2.45 each, assorted bantams $1.20 each, + ducklings, surprise straight run, and Cornish cross.
 
I also would definitely have included Ideal. This year I have placed 4 orders with Ideal (2 for goslings, 1 for bantams and 1 for meat birds) and I have been extremely pleased. They ship extremely fast. My first order for goslings I called in and placed at about 4:30pm. At 7pm that very day I got a shipping notification - and I got them two days later. I'm in NY and they are in TX - that's quick service! I have had none die in shipping, not even the extras.

Their customer service is fantastic. I placed an order for their special sale of bantams ($1.25) and tried to get the geese ($5.45). The computer kept giving me problems, but eventually it went through when I ordered them separately. They contacted me the next day to let me know that there was a computer error (hence why I had problems) with the geese, and they were sold out for that week (the week of the special) and the next week they weren't offering the special, but they would go a head and honor the special pricing for me. Later, they had the meat birds on special ($1.35) and I placed an order, it would ship the same day as the geese. I e-mailed them to ask if they could combine the orders, since it would save me from paying two $7 small box fees. They said no problem.

I have been nothing but pleased with Ideal, and I will continue to order from them.

Also, you do realize that next year these prices will probably all be a little different?
 
Sorry I didn't include ideal but their site made no sense. A lot of breeds wouldn't let me see the prices because they were sold out so there was nothing to write down. Also, some said that they would be available in May 2014 even though I was viewing the page in June of 2014. I have heard very mixed reviews for ideal. The bad reviews mentioned high mortality rates and some even poor breeding. While I'm sure this isn't true for all who have ordered from this hatchery, for my purposes, I'm not willing to take the risk.
 
I made similar spreadsheets for myself (with just the breeds I was looking for). One thing to keep in mind is that these are just the bird costs, shipping costs can vary a lot from one hatchery to another. The prices also change according to quantity, and some of the hatcheries will have minimum/maximum quantities that aren't reflected here.
 
Here in Australia our heritage chickens range from between $40.00-$60.00 each that is vaccinated and point of lay.. I consider it my part in trying to continue the breeds that my great grandmother and great,great grandmother had when they were farming.day old chicks are $12.50 ea and fertile eggs (when available) are $50.00 per dozen, that is all in AUD I consider it worth it as I make pets of them all,they always lay eggs for me and they bring back good days in the stories my mum and dad used to tell!!!
