chick question?

How old do my chicks need to be before I can put them in with my grow chickens ? Iv got 5 BR and one Brahma about 6 months old and iv got 8 chicks about 4 weeks old there big enough to go out side but I'm afraid to stick them with the big girls will they big ones kill them or pick on them? Thanks for your help

If you put your chicks in with your 6-month olds now, they would probably be killed. Young birds should be put in with older birds when they are at least 1/2 the size of the older ones. They will fight to work things out, but eventually, the pecking order is almost always established.
