chick question

I have a broody sitting on a dozen eggs that are due to hatch Fri. 9/12. She is in a separate 2x3x8 foot cage in a nest box. When and if the chicks hatch will the broody and chicks make a home out of the nest box or will they take up residence in the cage? I am asking b/c I want to know if I should remove the nest box. I left my nest box in the rabbit hutch and my broody and chick slept in it every night. Once I started letting them outside in the run area, they still went back to the nest box (inside the rabbit hutch) to sleep every night for about three weeks. Then, one night my broody decided it was time for her to go back to the roost with the other adult chickens, the chick followed her and slept on the roost (under her!). Eventually, the chick was on it's own.

I'm in no hurry to remove the nest box just wanting some info. They have plenty of room even if all 12 hatch. I should be so lucky. Thanks for the reply much appreciated. John
