chick questions

I got 4 new chicks from the local feed store a few days ago. 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 black sexlink and one other not sure what it is. Anyway, I was wondering if I can give them a bit of lettuce or fruit, or are they too young yet? Also should I feed them medicated feed or not? I haven't been, and one died, had to buy another. Thanks for any info for this newb!

If they are only a couple of days old I would hold off on giving them treats. As far as the whole medicated non medicated issue it is a personal decision. I don't have enough experience treating sick chickens to go the non medicated route. So I do give mine medicated feed for the first few weeks.
