We just got a shipment of chicks today and noticed that one of them seems to be shaking and moves sideways and backwards when it moves. I did the Homemade Electrolyte Recipe that I found on the site but can't find what could possibly be wrong with the chick. Its head isn't pointed up and legs seem to be fine... any thoughts/suggestions? We've separated it from the rest of the flock and want to get the little chick better and back to its buddies!

Sounds like you are doing what you can. Try a little scrambled egg for some extra energy. Maybe some vitamins.Sadly sometimes all don't make it but we're hoping for the best.

Is he eating and drinking normally? Is he active?
Mine didnt really like scrambled eggs, they like boiled eggs more, you can try both!

Thanks all. Have been giving it poly-vi-sol (without iron) and giving drops of water as well. It seems to be doing better today (at least it's not shaking!). Keeping a close eye on it till and nursing it the best I can! I'll try some scrambled eggs later to see if the sickies want some of that.

Well that is fantastic, any improvement is good! :D
Keep us posted on how the little guy is doing.
