My poor, little chick is acting sick. She is hunched over, puffed up, sleepy and not eating nor drinking much. She is a little over a month old and was fine yesterday. Please help. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Coccidiosis maybe? That is the main chick disease. Was she vaccinated? Is she on medicated feed? Is there blood in her poop?

She was not vaccinated nor on medicated feed. She does not have any blood in her poop though.

I'd get your flock on Corid for coccidiosis. Not all strains present with bloody poop. Adult chickens develop resistance to it, but chicks, especially those recently introduced to grass, dirt, etc haven't had enough time to build that resistance; and coccidiosis is pretty much everywhere. Electrolytes for your really sick one may perk her up a bit. Do not administer anything with Vitamin B1 while treating coccidiosis as it works specifically by blocking that vitamin to kill the parasite. Hope your chicks get to feeling better soon.

Thank you! I have started them on corid and put a few drops directly in the sick chicks mouth. Hoping I’m not too late :(
