Chick sizes?

    Hey I have 5 chicks that hatched a day early, and realised that my leghorns were smaller than what I assumed to be a silkie chick. It has 5 toes and feathery legs. It's the darker coloured one in the picture.The leghorn is the one right next to it in the middle of the photo. [​IMG]

    Some chicks just vary in size. The Leghorns, if a little small, generally hatch up within the first month or so. Silkies, for being a small breed of chicken, I've noticed don't start out as small as say, my LF EE or even my Bantam EE's.
