I have a one week old chick that has started sneezing. (This one belongs to my autistic child, and he is already very attached to it. ) :(

She seems ok beyond the sneezing. But I will say we live in an old farmhouse where it’s hard to keep stable temperatures. So 5-6 times a day, I have to adjust the distance of the heat lamp to maintain brooder temps. Could that be the issue? I also ran a fan in that room when we had a couple hot days…

I just don’t know what to do and I hate that. Any advice is very welcome!!

Pine shavings are the bedding. The first few days I did paper towels. They switched to the pine yesterday morning. Could that be it?

They eat Purena organic chick grower.
They are on an electrolyte.

Thank you for your help.

It's likely just an allergy or a bit of dust or food is stuck in the respiratory system. I wouldn't worry
