My four weeks old chick is usually put to sleep at 9-10 around when I get ready for bed and I've noticed that a lot of times when I go check on him he seems to just be standing around or laying down like he's sleeping but with his eyes open, half the time I thought he was dead. It's starting to worry me that he's taking a lot of time falling asleep. I don't know if it's just that he simply sleeps late?

What do you mean "put to sleep at 9-10"? How many chicks do you have? Have they been moved to the coop yet?

It means that I turn off the lights at 9-10. I only have one chick and I really want to get more but can not due to personal reasons. And no he has not been moved yet

You need to rehome this chick. They are very social creatures that thrive in a flock. Keeping a chicken in the house as a pet is, IMO, cruel to the chicken.
Wait until your circumstances change to the point where you can have an actual flock...outside.
