chick start piping in 19th day!

Is this normal for chicks to start piping at 19th day, does it means that something was wrong with humidity or temp?
 
Not necessarily; it's happened with me a few times.

It's more likely with bantams/small eggs, though. And it can mean the temp was too high.


I had a cheap analog thermometer and the temp always was at 100F and eggs are not too big.
 
Ok....still air bator, or does it have a fan? They should be ok. It's common for eggs to pip/hatch on day 19.
