Chick struggling to unzip

He was ok at first but now it seems like he's struggling to breathe. Almost like gasping. Opens his mouth and takes big breaths. Still will get up and squirm around occasionally but I'm not sure what to do now.

How’s he doing this morning? He had a very long struggle to hatch, so I’m not surprised that it exhausted him. If he’s still not acting normally, I’d give him a couple drops of something with electrolytes- even gatorade or pedialyte if it’s all you’ve got. Sugar water with a light sprinkle of salt if nothing else is available. Just put it on top of his beak using a dropper or soaked q-tip, he should be able to get it in. Repeat every hour or so.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. He's still doing ok. Eats and drinks on his own but not much. Still stands a little like a penguin but not as bad as he was. Thanks for all your help!
