Hello, I'm currently on day 21 of lockdown, and currently there is one chick that pipped around 14 hours ago, and it hasn't made any progress in around 6 hours. It was struggling with no success a while ago, and now it seems to have given up. It is currently panting and it's beak is covered in a yellow bubbly substance. I am afraid to help it, as there are other pipped chicks still working their way out, and I'm concerned that opening the incubator might let out humidity and harm the other pipped eggs. Is there any way I should assist the little guy? Thanks in advance.

I wait till 24 hours of no progress before I assist. Can you post pics?
Hey, thanks for responding. The egg is at a bad angle, so I couldn't take any pictures worth showing, however I could see that it stopped foaming at the beak. I'll check on it tomorrow, hopefully it survives till then.

Glad he survived!

I always try to keep my chicks together because separating one from the rest appears to cause more stress for the singleton. I would separate him with a more docile chick.

Sorry for the late reply, had a busy couple of days. Sadly the chick didn't make it, he seemed to be getting weaker and weaker, and finally passed a few days after hatching.
