I have a chicken coop and run for my chickens, when i built my coop I put in a poop board that works great. last spring some one gave me 3 baby turkeys, 2 hens and a tom. I keep them in their own run. I am building them a coop and wanted to know if any one use's a poop board for turkeys and what are the dimensions ?

"The correct spelling for the enclosure where chickens live is coop (rhymes with "hoop"). A coup (pronounced "coo") refers to a sudden, violent seizure of power or a brilliant, unexpected move."

Turkeys need a lot more room than chickens need. They also need a much greater landing distance from their roosts than chickens need. I have turkeys that land 30' or more from their 6' high roost.

Unlike chickens, adult turkeys spread out more on their roosts and don't tend to roost right next to each other sop they need more room on their roosts.

Turkeys do well with a 3 sided building that is facing away from the prevailing wind.

If you do put in a poop board it would be similar to what is used for chickens but bigger since their roosting area needs to be bigger. My turkeys roost outside in an area protected from the prevailing winds so I don't use a poop board.

Their roosts need to be farther away from the walls and ceiling than for chickens since they are bigger birds.
