Ok question for you guys. I have a chick that was zipped for a day but couldn't get out. I tried to help it out and the yolk was dried up and acting as a glue to keep the chick in. She had sores from trying to yank away from the egg...What could have caused this? Shouldn't the yolk have been absorbed? I know the humidity has been perfect for hatching as 6 others have hatched just fine and humidity has stayed steady. She is chirping away in the incubator now and seems fine. I will put her on antibiotics just in case. just wanting to know what went wrong here.
