Hi! I incubated Silkie eggs and 3 out of 4 of them hatched! (The other one I don’t think was viable but we kept it in in case it was)
Anyway, our last baby chick, Pepper, a Blue or Splash Silkie chick hatched at around 12 PM. She hatched with her umbilical cord still connected to her shell and none of the other chicks had this happen. It still hasn’t come off, but it is not bleeding anymore. She seems a little weak and I am worried that she won’t be able to get it off. She took quite a bit longer to hatch then the others and I am just worried about her. She has been chirping and moving around but I am just worried she won’t be able to learn how to walk correctly...
Is there anything I could/should do?
