[chickens hatch]

just post some tips for me and my 4 chicks, 3 are in my brooder and one is with my broody chicken

It's best to keep chicks in groups of 3 or more.
If the plan is to integrate, earlier ages are always better (unless there is an age discrepancy).

As they get older and taller which happens fast. Elevate there water so they don't dump it all over their bedding.

If one chick is weaker than the others, I separate with a screen, so they can see eachother.

I also put a pie dish under the waterer.

I am not a fan of wood chips. I use cloth place mats the one above is bamboo. I get them from 2nd hand stores. toss when soiled. I also sew material on boxes for beds (small stitches.) and give them a mirror. I also feed to start in a paper egg carton, then move the food to a box when they can hop inside.
