Chick toe dislocation

I have a six week old chick that dislocated his middle toe. I made a splint out of a straw and put some tape on. It made a little shoe. Is there anything else I can do?
He actually walks fine and it was flexible enough to sit with the straw so I’m hoping in a week or so maybe all straightened out? It doesn’t seem terribly painful to it.

Sounds like you are treating this o.k. I'd just make sure the tape/wrapping or shoe is not too tight.
