So I have a chick that hatched out. Beautiful blue chick. It's leg seems to have gotten stuck in the turner while I was gone. It's literally the biggest/fattest chick I have ever seen.
I'm not talking just "fluffy" it has a dewlap and is all around "floppy". It is only a few hours old. The leg that was stuck seems to be it's stronger leg whereas the other leg goes a bit further back. It's possible the other leg was stretched.
It's not able to lift it's head very well, almost like the muscles haven't developed fully there. Other than being "floppy" instead of mobile, it seems like any other chick.
Is it possible the chick is too "fat" to move?
