Chick toys...

Drawing dots on the walls sounds like a good idea.. After reading a few posts and looking at a few nasty pictures of cannibalism, I think I'd much rather sharpie the walls than blukote somebody's bloody red hind end.. I haven't had any of that yet, and I'd just as soon not.

They're getting a perch stick tonight, too.. That should blow their little minds.

It's a surprise, though, so don't tell anybody.

i go out and dig up worms and at first there like all scared and then one goes for it and all the others chase it around!!!!!!!!! its so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tried the spaghetti noodle, wow you are right, it was a HUGE hit.

One grabbed it and then ran all over like a nut with everybody else following her.

(I always call my chicks 'her' to encourage them to turn into pullets.)

It was cooked, and I just used a little piece of it. I expect to a chick it was sort of like a worm. They really had fun with it!

I put like a little jungle gym in there for my chicks and its not to high maybe liek 6 inchs and they always are trying to get to the top, worms they seem to love, also one of my chicks loves to try to escape but she hasn't been able to. i have a big dirt pile and leaf pile and they seem to enjoy the piles ( those are in the yard not the Brooder)

Don't you end up with chicken/duck poop all over your desk and computer when you do that?

I have gotten REALLY good at spotting when they are about to squat. I keep thick paper towels and a spray bottle of Nature's Miracle right next to me, plus I put some paper towels down under them. I keep the keyboard on my lap so they can't have an accident on it, and also since they like to jump on it and watch the letters pop up on the screen. Soon I will have chicken diapers on them, so a lot less accidents.
