Hey all....I ran across the thread on the "Egg Train" and it's an awesome idea!

So, I thought we might be able to make this work now

All PA members....can we get a train going from Eastern Pa to Western Pa? Right across the state, for 14 of the cutest bantam chicks!

I can map it out and break it down into legs, depending on where everyone is located across the state. Usually the leg is about an hour or so.
And it can take place on the weekend too.

Any takers in trying it out?

How it works: I will map out the drive from here to Western, Pa into "legs" which are about an hour driving time.
Then, volunteers will take a leg and do the driving.

For instance, I would drive an hour and meet the next person. Drop off the chicks to that person who would drive an hour more. And so on, and so on until they reach their destination.

It's a great way to get chicks/eggs/etc to places without the danger of commercial shipping.

Hence, the train.

What I will do is map it out now and post the legs that are needed. That way, volunteers from that area can choose a "leg" to drive.

Ok. I mapped it out and it looks like it will only take 5 volunteers.....me being the first one so possibly 4.

Leg 1: Philly-Northeast Extension on PA Turnpike.

Leg 2: Start of Northeast Extension to Pocono Exit.

Leg 3: Pocono Exit up Rt 80 maybe Bloomsburg Exit on Rt 80.

Leg 4: Bloomsburg to Bellefonte Exit on Rt 80.

Leg 5: Bellefonte to DuBois Exit on Rt 80.

Meet in DuBois to new chick owner

Now, if you live in any of these areas and think the leg should be broken down, let me know.
The total trip is 5 hours so each leg shouldn't be any more than 1 hr.

Awesome! So we just need Northeast Extension to Rt 80 and then Rt 80 to Bloomsburg!

Can we make this happen
