Was wondering what kind of treats you feed. So far I have given my girls grapes (they LOVE them), watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries and sweet corn (they clean the corn right off the cobb) Saw a post once that they like bread, but mine don't seem to care for it. Any other suggestions of what you give them? My girls are about 18 weeks now.

Mine enjoy all that you mentioned plus plain yogurt, bread is a favorite, and scrambled eggs. They like leftover oatmeal and pancakes too.

Our girls really like cherries, although we try not to give them TOO many, especially if cherries have the same effect on birds as they can on people. :O

I take a big fat cucumber from the fridge and slice it in two and just place each one on the ground inside the run. In less than four minutes each of my two point-of-lay pullets has eaten her half cucumber clean, leaving just the shell. Looks like two perfectly shaped canoes. All those fat seeds and cold juicy flesh is perfect for them on a hot summer day.

This was a great page...thank you so much for sharing. I put it on my favorites. WOW! Yogurt...who'da thunk it!

I feed my chickens apples, tomatoes, plain and vanilla flavored yogurt, peaches, lettuce, spinach, carrots, bananas without the peel, cabbage, live minnows (they love them!!!!!!!), layena, scratch, oyster shell, cucumbers, grapes, and bread. But of course not all of that in one day!!!
