i have one of my chicks (harriett)who is at least 4 weeks old, who seems to have forgot how to walk. she was doing excellent and was getting really big but yesterday i noticed her laying in the corner when the other two were walking around the cage. so i picked her up and looked at her and i noticed she didnt seem to move on of her feet, so i put her back in the cage and she started walking but looked like she was drunk she wabbled and then fell over before getting back up. so i thought maybe she hurt a toe or something so i left her for the night and when i checked on her this morning it was about the same. when i came home from working she was laying on her side with her face in the wire and look like she had died, but i picked her up and she was fine just didnt walk.

so i brought her back inside and put her in a plastic bin with some pine bedding to hopefully give her some traction on her feet, she is eating fine, so im not sure what shes doing. she used to fly pretty well but attempted to get out of her bin shes in and just jumped and never opened her wings and fell back in the bin. she doesnt seem to want to get up on her feet. she stands on what i guess would equal her "knee" and leaves her feet out front, but seems to not control her legs very well.

anyone have any ideas on what may have happened or what i should do?

thanks in advance

sounds like Mareks

best to isolate her from the others and keep her warm and quiet

from what i have read it definatly sounds like mareks as well, is there a cure? i read online somewhere and dont know where now about diluting some natural herb thing in distilled water and dropping it in their beak. anyone have luck with this? is their other medication that i can give her?

as far as isolation, i got her in my room actually in a rubbermaid tub so i hope she didnt have time to make the others sick.

thanks for any advice
