chick water

I forgot how messy chicks can be, silly me. I'm changing the chickies water 4 or 5 times a day 'cause they just can't drink shavings and poo. I've got the water on a plate in the rubbermaid brooder box, and I need suggestions on keeping it clean. Anyone have any great ideas?

As soon as possible I start setting the water on something to raise it up higher. I know when they're first hatched and still tiny that doesn't work very well, but it's not long and they've grown enough you can start raising it up.

Raise it up and they still will find a way to kick shavings all in there...but maybe not quite as much...
