I recently picked up my baby chicks 5 days ago. 2 Easter Eggers and 1 Buff Orphington. I noticed that my Buff has an extra toe growing out of another toe. Just wondering if this is common and will she be ok later in life. I also noticed that her poop is a different color than the other two. It's a light brownish orange. She eats and drinks and is the first to explore everything. She seems happy and healthy. I did look at the poop guide...but there are poops with the same color listed in the healthy and

As far as the toe goes, some breeds have a fifth toe and IT believe EasterEggers are a "mixed breed" chicken so it may have popped out from past genetics. Or it could just be a mutatio but it shouldn't create a problem.

The poop, I wouldn't worry as long as their behavior is okay.
