This little chick hatched 2 days ago and we've kept it a little apart from the other chicks and the hens to see if it's foot will get better. The other chicks have pecked at it and the hens have pecked it's foot too, especially just after it hatched. But we just put it with the others and they seem to be treating the little fellow fine. The chick hobbles around and kind of limps but can stand up and get around a bit. We don't have predators and are hoping this little chick can just be a bit handicapped but otherwise fine. My question is, is an injury or defect like this something it can live with?
