Hi All,
I noticed today that a chick is limping and favoring one foot. When it's still it will almost always be laying down, but when it is standing it will try to balance on one leg or limp if it wants to move. Often it appears that the chick will choose not to move and remain alone at one end of the brooder rather than be with the other chicks feeding at the other end for example.
Yesterday I had noticed the chick pecking at it's own foot, and another chick pecking at it's foot as well. Will an injury in a chick be able to heal with time? I'm worried that if the chick is choosing to sit still vs limping to eat or drink it could spell trouble.
Any input or advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
Wawa
