I have a chick that hatched on 5/16/20. When it hatched it appeared normal and healthy except it’s left wing was completely backwards and already had black feathers on it instead of fluff which I have never seen.
It was supposed to be a crested cream legbar but it doesn’t look like one to me. It did come from a blue egg that was shipped. It Is the largest chick from the hatch and the only one with an abnormality.
It has been active, eating, and drinking water with electrolytes until this afternoon and it’s breathing is now labored and it is not moving much. It’s in a brooder with pine wood shavings and a “mama heating pad” set up. No pasty butt. All other chicks are acting normal and no signs of illness. I’ve given nutridrench. Is there anything else I can do?
