chick with ankle problem

This chick... hatched Monday am had a bit of crooked toes. I thought he was spraddle but actually that isnt so bad but his foot (ankle) wont turn right.. ? I just cant get it roll over and stay.

What causes this to happen ? I had 2 in my very first hatch that had spraddle leg and curled toes. Ended up culling both.

Just wonder if someone knows what causes it ?

I don't what causes it but I do know it is fairly common. Have you tried the tape between the leggs like where their knees would be? I think that may work better.
