I bought chicks from my feed store when they were about a week old. I have had them for 4 days and I noticed one of the girls had wood chippings stuck on her. I brought her over to the sink and put a plug in the drain (incase she jumped out of my grasp she wouldn't fall in) and rubbed her belly with water. Some of it came off, but some did not. I figured it will dry and flake off or she'll be able to get it off herself. So next day I go down and look for her in the brooder, and I pick her up. She has a bald spot from where it was. The other chicks and herself are not pecking at it, as it is kind of on her belly. Will this be ok? Will it come back or grow feathers? Do I need to do anything? Thanks sooo much if you answer and help... IDK what I'd do without BYC

It was probably due to overcrowding. These feathers should grow back soon
