One of my Mille Fleur bantams has a crooked beak and it seems to be getting worse. (wish I would have taken this pic from the front - it kind of looks like he just has it beak open, but he doesn't) What would you do?

He (or she) does seem to be able to eat. I watched him eat for a long time yesterday. Of course, I'm not sure how much he got down, but he spent a lot of time at the feeder. Plus, he's not any smaller than the others and seems to be growing. BUT - it's definately getting worse as he grows.

I really don't think there is much you can do. just keep an eye on him/ her it may get worse but as long as he/she can eat and drink it should be ok. good luck

We have a chick with the same problem. I posted about it but didnt get much of a response. She seems to be able to eat and drink, but I do feel so very sad for her... here is her pic. She didnt come to us this way and yes it has gotten worse with time, not sure what caused it. I would like to see pics or hear of an adult bird that is surviving with it. If anyone has one?

I have a silkie that I got because of a crossed beak...

I gave it No Iron Infant Vitamin drops every day for a few weeks and the beak is straight now. You would never know that "CC" had a problem.

It wouldn't hurt to try as soon as you can......

Thanks! I will give the vit. drops a try, it cant hurt! And its also really nice to know that she can make it as an adult. I have seen her peck at things, like noodles... and not be able to pick them up to eat them, while the other birds grab and go. It makes me sad for her... she is a little bit smaller than the other birds that are the same age so I do hope she is thriving. We've made sure to give them all a deep dish, but the others eat the food down so fast Im not really sure how much she is actually getting. She is going to be a beautiful EE and she has a sweet personality.

berriesncream- I hope your little guy is doing well!
