chick with crusty eyes

I just got my chicks shipped to me yesterday and I have one that keeps getting crusty eyes and looking sick. Im feeding it water with a dropper every couple of hours and cleaning its eyes out but is there something else i could give it to help it get some more strenth? After giving it water and cleaning its eyes it seems more alert and like other chicks but couple hours later its right back to eye crusty and just standing there. Any advice?

I don't know about the eyes but you could put a drop in the nose of baby vitamins with no iron. Or even add a little sugar to the water.

I know a really good bird lady who washes bird's eyes with weak, cooled, chamomile tea if they are crusty. Seems to work!
