Chick with deformed leg

I've just hatched for the first time had 3 out of 5 hatch so far 2 had deformed legs and unfortunately died shortly after hatch last one very active, noisy and healthy. pic included of the deformed leg any idea what caused this?

Wow! That is certainly unusual! Does your chick have extra toes or an extra foot on its 'main' foot?

What did you end up doing? Could your chick still walk? Did your chick survive?
