I just got 16 day-old chicks in the mail. All are healthy and beautiful, but one, a splash rosecomb, has fused toes on both sides. Here are 2 pictures:

I contacted the hatchery and told them, and hopefully they'll credit my account for this chick since I obviously can't breed from him or show him.
The chick seems to be walking around ok, but his balance is a little weird. Is there anything I can/should do about this? I was thinking that if i were going to separate the toes with a sterile razor blade or something it would be better to do it now than later...or can he live a normal life like this?

help, what should I do???

I think I would be tempted to try a bit of surgery. Use a sterile razor blade and keep the chick seperated until it heals. At this age it will recover very fast.
Or if you do nothing it will learn to adapt and get along just fine.
