chick with one eye closed

one of my week old chicks has one eye closed, she seems to acting normal other than this. Does anyone know what could be causing this and should I be alarmed?

Is it dried or crusted at all?

First thing you could try, and to rule out other issues, would be to take a warm, wet, lint-free cloth and wipe from front to back on the eye to free it from any crusties that may be there preventing the eye from opening.

Try rinsing the eye. I could be a piece of debris (pine bedding?). Watch for any othr symptoms closely.
