I hatched out 4 out of 5 of my silkies eggs this weekend. 3 have been doing wonderfully, eating, drinking, growing. No pasty butt, no bullying...and then I have 1 with like a spraddle leg situation...so I used the band-aid method, and she is doing great today...Still small, but she was the last to hatch. Anyway, off subject. One of my active, healthy seeming cutie pies just dropped dead tonight. I left at 6, everyone was great. And by 9, she had passed...What on earth happened? Any ideas? I am so sad, I feel totally helpless, and now im terrified this could keep happening. They have medicated chick starter, fresh clean water with added electrolytes. hand time, but a peaceful brooder with a comfy temp, no one acts hot or cold, they seem perfect! What could have happened?
