I noticed today that one of my little Bantam chicks had a weird wing. On the right wing, closest to the body (before the joint) his feathers are growing BACKWARDS. Instead of growing out straight on the bottom, they grow backwards on the top. You can see the bottom of the feather and they all just kinda stick up.
I gently tried moving the wing and it seems rather immobile. The other wing is perfectly fine, as are all the siblings and mother. I've had them on Purina Flock Grower (all you can eat) in the brooder with the momma hen. Just a few days ago I had to put them on my regular flock feed (50%, 16% layer crumbles, 50% cracked corn) as I ran out of the Grower and couldn't get more until today.
Just noticed this now when I went to take pictures. I'll get them posted soon, but I gotta run at the moment. Any ideas?
