chick with what looks like its insides hanging out?

I have a chick that just hatched and it is pulling around what looks like chicken insides.

Is it possible that it is okay or is it really pulling around it insides? I cn't get a good picture in the incubator.

It's possible that those are the chicks intestines. I had that happen. The chick was still some what attached to the shell when it hatched, I guess the egg yolk had not absorbed yet and it pulled the insides out. Sadly once it came out of the incubator and into the dry air it did not survive.

Could it be the umbilical cord? I haven't hatched chicks myself but when I got my day olds in the mail they all had a little "belly button" I could feel. Hopefully someone else will post too.

If it just hatched, it is likely it is just the umbilical cord. This does typically dry up and fall off on its own.
