Chick - I think Speckled Sussex, hatch date 6/14, 3 weeks old today

We have a bunch of chicks and primarily I have been concerned with general health and well being and so 6-14 hatch date, just noticed yesterday that one of the chicks has kind of wierd bent and kind of curled toes - I will post a picture in a minute.

Is it too late to tape them straight?

Would it be a good idea to try?

And would I use q-tips as braces?

Any suggestions?

She is fine otherwise- gets around fine, eats well, drinks well. She can perch too.

I feel badly that it took me so long to notice.

didn't know how to put "crooked toe" on to your post so looked it up and bumped it up for you.

Look @ bumped up post "crooked toe". Never too late to try... couldn't hurt.

I guess I will be making her some duck taped shoes and see if they help her get her toesies straightened out. Thanks for bumping that up. I also read that it could be a vitamin deficiency but none of the others are effected so I will try the shoes first and get some baby vitamins next.
