New chick with "dead" damaged toe. Need advice!

It sure does look like a thumb, I might even start to call her Thumbelina in my head! Happy recovery, and thanks for letting me learn from this thread :celebrate
Thumbalina was the first name that came to mind and seemed like a natural choice but starting way back when with training duck hunting / field dogs, I've always attempted to name my critters single syllable names or 2 syllable names that can be shortened to one like my recently passed Labrador boy, Stewart or "Stu." I couldn't get myself to break tradition so they're all shortened with "Y".

3 Golden laced Wyandottes; Goldy, Lacey, Dotty. Also, the 3 Sussex; Pinky was first, for obvious reason, then Penny for her shiny penny coloration, and lastly Charlie because she was the only one without a name that day on 9/10 and I was just back in the coop from a trip to TSC where I learned of and was incredibly distraught over what had just shortly before transpired with Charlie Kirk. While all the other ladies were just battling over a whole zucchini, she just wouldn't leave my side or stop pecking and tugging at me while I watched the rest. She's becoming a real sweet bird in a way unlike all the other. Her name just popped out in my thoughts. Heck, I even new a gorgeous young lady in my younger days named Charlie and even remember the perfume way back when. Charlie it shall be!

The buff orp pullet i picked out last year had a self amputated toe. She was a great chicken. She ended up with metastatic cancer and died though. I agree with the other posters. Chicken will be ok on its own.
