Chick won’t unzip

My chick pipped last night and it approaching the 24 hour mark and it’s only made a hole the size of a penny. It looks like it has cross beak and only is poking its beak out and it doesn’t look like it’s trying to unzip. It’s making noise and moving but isn’t breaking any shell. Should I wait as see what happens or should I do something else? (Sorry it may be nothing but I’m starting to worry bout the little guy)

No progress and it’s been over 24 hours I’ll try to to assist. Thanks for the info
