So we had 3 chicks pip, zip and hatch all within a short amount of time.

But we have one that pipped, zipped most of the way (beak is clear of egg) but it's just not kicking out of the egg.

It's been like this most of the day, should we be worrying?? I have another in there that's pipped so I can't get it to "help" or should I just "sit on my hands"?? How long do I leave it like this?

I had a similar situation today the egg pipped last night then at 9 this morning it zipped and the shell was just about broken all the way around but he just wasn't coming out. I had a school function for my brother so I let it like this to see if he would hatch while I was gone, when I got home 3 hours later he hadn't so I helped him out. I was worried because from what I could see of the membrane it was drying out and he wasn't talking much anymore. that was at 1:15 it's now 8:30 and he's doing great he's dry but not really fluffed out yet and he is making a heck of a racket. (that's ok maybe he'll get the other ones to get a move on:weee )

Hatching is hard work and requires a rest. That said, I don't know how long a rest it should be...??? If he's still breathing and his membrane isn't shrink wrapping him (drying out..) I'd leave him be. If he's drying out, I'd "interfere" (as my hubby puts it... LOL)

Is he still moving around? If you tap on the incubator above him does he still respond? I peeped and tapped at some of mine and it made them respond and break out. At this point, you might gently move the shell away and let him come out of the rest.

One tough little bird! He made it OUT all by him/herself!! But boy is he/she a noisy little bugger..is that normal?? None of the other 3 have made near this much racket. I knew it wasn't shrink wrapped just tuckered out I guess. Whoo hoo, 4 chicks!! We're happy for ANY we get at this point.

Help all my chicks have beaks out there chirping humidity is good they have had beaks out for 4 hrs now what do I do
