Chick won't down from roost

We brought a new chicken in to the yard and it will climb up the tree to roost, but won't or can't come down. Do I leave it? Will she eventually figure it out?

Do you have other chickens? It may be afraid to come down because it will get beaten up.

How old is it and how high in the tree is it?
